The solfeggio frequencies are a set of nine tones — 174, 285, 396, 417, 528, 639, 741, 852 and 963 Hz — popularised in the late 20th century and widely described as an ancient sacred scale. They are pleasant tones. The history usually told about them does not hold up, and no health effect has been demonstrated for any of them.

Where the set actually comes from
The frequencies were derived in the 1970s–90s by applying a numerological reduction to numbers found in a Biblical passage, and then presented as a rediscovered ancient scale. The name borrows from solfège — ut, re, mi, fa, sol, la — which is a real medieval system for teaching relative pitch. It has no fixed frequencies, because medieval Europe had neither a way to measure hertz nor a standard reference pitch to measure against.
That does not make the tones worthless. It makes their provenance modern, which is worth knowing before you build a practice on the story rather than the sound.
