Built and written by one person: Fatih Bilgiç, an independent software developer in Istanbul. No growth team, no funding round — which is most of the reason this site can afford to be honest about the evidence.
Who makes it
I am Fatih Bilgiç. I build software independently under Antagrioin in Istanbul, and I wrote everything here: the audio engine, the page generator behind the site, and the text on every page. You can reach me at [email protected].
I am not a clinician. I am a developer who has spent a long time reading the literature on auditory beat stimulation because I build tools that generate it. That is exactly why the evidence page says “not established” as often as it does: I have no professional standing to make claims from, and no interest in borrowing someone else's.
What this site is
Brainwave Generator is a set of browser-based sound generators: binaural beats, isochronic tones, pure tones and noise beds, with timers. Everything runs in your browser using the Web Audio API: no audio files to stream, no account, no session limit and no paywall. There is also a free mobile app built on the same engine, for the phone cases a browser tab cannot cover.
How it is funded
Right now, it is not. There are no ads, no subscriptions and no sponsorships on the site as you are reading it. If that changes, it will be modest display advertising on explanatory pages only — never on the players, never an interstitial, and never a condition of using anything. We would rather say that in advance than surprise you later.
What we will not do
- Claim that sound treats, cures or prevents any condition.
- Publish a statistic without a source you can check.
- Name a disease as a use case to win a search query.
- Put a free tool behind an email address.
- Add tracking scripts that follow you off this site.
These are not marketing positions. They are the rules the site is built under, and they are the reason some pages here answer a popular question with “there is no evidence for that”.
The other site
I also run brainwavegenenator.com — an older, differently-spelled domain that has grown into a long-form research library on brainwave entrainment, complete with a corrections page for claims it published and later retracted. The two sites do different jobs: that one collects and evaluates the literature, this one is the instrument. Where a question here needs citations rather than a summary, I link across.
Corrections
If something here is wrong — a fact, a frequency, a broken player on a device I have not tested — tell me and I will fix it and note the change in the changelog. Corrections are the cheapest form of credibility available and most sites in this category skip them.

The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and stores only your volume preference in your own browser — the long version is on the privacy page.
