Terms of use
Free to use, free to keep what you make with it, and explicitly not a medical device. That is most of it.
Using the site
The players are free to use, with no account and no limit. You may use them personally or commercially. You may not attempt to disrupt the site for other people, and you may not present it as your own product. The mobile app has its own store terms.
Audio you record
If you capture audio produced by these players, it is yours. We claim no copyright in it and require no attribution: use it in videos, streams, installations, client work or products, commercially or not. Nobody can grant rights over a frequency itself, because none exist to grant.
No medical use
Brainwave Generator is a sound tool, not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and nothing on the site is medical advice. Do not use it in place of care, and do not use it while driving or operating machinery. See the safety page for the cautions that actually matter.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. Audio synthesis depends on your browser and hardware, and we cannot guarantee that every feature works on every device — although we would like to hear about it when one does not.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from use of this site. Where the law does not allow a limitation, it does not apply to you.
Links to other sites
External links, including to our own research site, are provided for reference. We are not responsible for content on sites we do not run.
