Most people end up wanting both: a beat quiet enough to ignore and a noise bed loud enough to cover the room. This player gives each one its own level.
The mixer runs the tone and the noise through separate gain stages, so the beat can sit under the noise instead of fighting it. Set the noise level for the room you are in and the master volume for your ears — those are two different decisions, and most players collapse them into one.
How to balance the two
- Turn the beat off first: raise the noise level until the room stops intruding. That number depends on the room, not on you.
- Bring the beat back in until you can just hear it under the noise. If it is the first thing you notice, it is too loud.
- Set the master volume last, and set it lower than feels right — background sound seems to get louder the longer you listen to it.

Why noise makes beats easier to listen to
A bare binaural beat is a very exposed sound: two sine waves and nothing else, so every shift in your attention lands on it. A noise bed gives the ear something else to rest on, hides the moment the tone starts and stops, and makes a long session far less noticeable. If you have tried beats before and found them irritating, this is usually the fix.

Can I use two noise colours at once?
Not in this player. Pick the one that covers the frequency range bothering you — the colour comparison takes about a minute.
Does the noise interfere with the binaural beat?
It masks it, which is the point. The beat is still produced the same way; you are choosing how much of it you want to be aware of.
Can I save a mix?
